Job Description

Securitas Security Services has an extremely rare opportunity to be part of our Sales/Solutions team– Physical Security Systems, and we are looking for the right candidate! This position manages all aspects of physical security system solution services and will work with customers to define their requirements, introduce specific technologies that meet those requirements, design and qualify proposed solutions and finally create proposals and statements of work specific to the solutions to be offered. This position will work closely with the Operations team to develop the best and most efficient presentation of these solutions.

This highly visible position is part of a large national technical team focused on Integrated Guarding solutions. This position will work closely with the Area Vice Presidents, Branch Managers, and Business Development Managers to identify conversion opportunities for our current clients and to new sales targets.

Key Competencies:

Sales

  • Field calls from field managers and prospects regarding technology and systems
  • Coordinate with field managers as needed to serve as a technical expert and provide technology solutions to their clients and prospects
  • Attend client/prospect meetings to qualify, provide technology advice and information, present technology ideas, design and develop technology (service and equipment) solutions
  • Respond to bids and RFPs
  • Identify opportunities from existing clients and from new prospects
  • Manage opportunities and provide regular activity update reporting
  • Manage and report on sales and forecasting activities
  • Create and present Integrated Guarding sales proposals

Technical

  • Design solutions utilizing various electronic security systems and services
  • Provide scope of work and complete design documents
  • Coordinate any required subcontractor and/or vendor quotes as necessary
  • Use tools such as Google maps and Visio to create design documents which are field-ready
  • Coordinate with internal and external project stakeholders for solution deployment as needed

 

Minimum Qualifications At Entry

Additional qualifications may be specified and receive preference, depending upon the nature of the position.

 

MINIMUM HIRING STANDARDS

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must have a reliable means of communication (i.e., phone).
  • Must have a reliable means of transportation (public or private).
  • Must have the legal right to work in the United States.
  • Must have the ability to speak, read, and write English.
  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
  • Must be willing and able to travel extensively throughout a large multi-state territory.

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business related field and five years of successful and progressively responsible physical security systems experience, or an equivalent combination.
  • At least two years of previous experience in a project management role with a value-added reseller (VAR) and /or a Technology manufacturer in the security systems industry.
  • Experience in outside sales in an industrial environment.

 

This role will be based in Downers Grove, Illinois and will utilize appropriate marketing and sales methodologies to develop profitable business for the assigned territory.
