System Designer


ECD Systems is seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic Low Voltage System Designer. For 30 years, ECD Systems has remained Arizona's leading provider of innovative solutions for a wide array of industries. From Healthcare and Education, to Industrial, Commercial and Multi-Family clients, ECD offers the network integrated solutions and services; including critical communications, nurse call, video surveillance, access control, intrusion, fire alarm, and much more.


Job duties and functions:
Assess customer’s needs and develop estimate/design of low voltage systems with the appropriate functionality. Systems may include, but not limited to: Nurse Call, Video Surveillance, Access Control, Intrusion and Fire Alarm.
Provide pre-sales support for sales and service teams
Provide post-sales support, technical support and provide best practices for operation department
Design, review and approve system schematic drawings and floor plan layouts
Prepare and approve accurate material list for installation of systems
Attend pre/post construction meetings
Continuing input on streamline estimating/design process to increase productivity
Ability to clearly defend estimate for accuracy
Ability to multitask several opportunities and submit them on time
May be required to travel to assigned job sites to ensure company compliance, site surveys, proposal delivery and customer satisfaction
All other duties relating to the overall organizational business and/or as assigned by the Design Manager.


Education, Certification, License, and Skill Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Associate degree, Bachelor’s Degree or Technical Degree preferred.
Must possess a minimum of three (3) years of experience in design/estimating of Low Voltage Systems
Healthcare experience preferred
NICET certified, a plus
Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics and drawings, technical manuals and specifications


General Requirements:
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Must be willing to work independently as well as in a team environment in an office setting with minimal to no supervision
Must know Microsoft Office products including; Word and Excel
Must be self-motivated & punctual.
May be asked to work weekends and / or additional hours to complete your assignments
Must be able to manage multiple tasks and have excellent follow up skills both internally and externally.
Must be professional and polished in appearance and speech.
Must have valid Arizona driver license.
