Openpath is seeking a senior operations and installation specialist to join our office automation and security systems team in Los Angeles.  The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and wants to have a meaningful impact on customer and company results. Successful candidates will have world-class customer service orientation, strong communication skills, and low-voltage technical experience.


The position will own a diverse set of responsibilities with attention to detail and a customer-first attitude. Openpath’s system is comprised of cloud software, mobile applications, and access control door hardware, the company needs an intelligent fast-learner who will quickly understand various types of technology and physical hardware.  


What you’ll do & more...


  • Sales Engineering and all that it entails for the company, including but not limited to technical expertise along with client facing communication.

  • Support the direct and channel sales teams with customers questions on our technology.

  • Help ensure our installation partners can successfully install and service our systems at customer locations with over the phone/web support.

  • Build relationships with locksmiths and installers in various regions where we have customers.

  • Provide world-class customer support as needed.

  • Efficiently respond to existing customers and installers when they have customer support and technical support questions.

  • Work with our engineering team to be able to answer technical support questions and efficiently respond to customers.

  • Log support communications in our CRM.


What skills and experience do you bring?


  • EDUCATION: BA/BS highly preferred. Will consider those with proven experience.

  • EXPERIENCE: 5+ years of professional experience with 2-3+ years of experience installing access control systems.

  • Must have proven customer service experience.

  • Results-oriented, dependable and accountable.

  • Can operate in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

  • Highly organized, can juggle multiple competing priorities and tasks.

  • A strong communicator (verbal, written and interpersonal).

  • Possess a can-do attitude and willing to roll up your sleeves and help grow the business.

  • You take initiative, knows what needs to be done and operates with a sense of urgency, focus and discipline.
