GENERAL ROLE:          Our concept at Prime ECS is that Technicians work as a team with a Project Lead who is capable of practicing sound technical skills.  This Project Lead must take “ownership” of assigned projects and work closely with customers as well as the Prime ECS support staff, who will handle: Design and Engineering, Ordering, Programming and Service Scheduling. The position requires a willingness to take Responsibility and demonstrate Dependability, practice good Communication and Decision making skills, the ability to develop and lead a team is critical.  This list of responsibilities is provided as a guideline it is neither a contract nor is it all inclusive.




  • Responsible for general    planning of   project execution by evaluating technician resources and priorities; and making sure the Prime ECS implementation process is followed in these areas.


  • Five day work week Monday-Friday. 


  • Able to lead a project following the Implementation Outline provided by Prime ECS. To include: Rough, Trim, and Finish phases without supervision.


  • Maintain project communication boards as it relates to Project Lead duties


  • Generate and maintain technicians project task lists on communication boards


  • Able to support the Design & Engineering team for all project documentation generation and implementation including but not limited to: sub-contractor requirements, client requests, client media intake forms, as built scope review, I-O lists, buildable plan set as built reviews and adjustments, rough/trim/finish ordering pick lists, custom theater products review/approval, and drapery/shading measurements/review/approval


  • Must show an ability to interface well with and provide on the job training for employees.


  • Actively participate in all performance reviews of staff including evaluations for incentives and promotions


  • After hours phone/email support of Service as Project Lead deems necessary to maintain critical control systems and healthy client relationships. In addition, as the Project Lead deems necessary after hour’s on-site support may be required for critical system failure resolution when possible. In the event the Project Lead is un-available he/she will immediately notify the Service Coordinator as well as Operations Manager for resolution.


  • Service advising to Operations Manager




  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of: wire differentiation, connectors, connections, and splicing.  Must practice sound wire management skills.


  • Advanced knowledge of: motorized lifts, screens, drapes, shades, etc. including their installation. 


  • Advanced understanding of general construction methods and practices and how they apply to the A/V industry. 


  • Must be able to verify and or satisfy all construction needs for A/V systems including heat management and subsequent ventilation.


  • Advanced working knowledge of high and low voltage requirements and safe operation as it relates to the A/V industry.


  • Advanced working knowledge of centralized lighting control systems by Lutron, Crestron, Vantage, and Savant and the ability to activate and troubleshoot such systems.


  • Advanced working knowledge of large scale distributed AV systems and the ability to activate and troubleshoot such systems.


  • Advanced working knowledge of IT networks and proper deployment based on A/V industry standards and the ability to activate and troubleshoot such systems.


  • Advanced working knowledge of Crestron, Savant, AMX, RTI control systems and the ability to activate and troubleshoot such systems.

Personal Tool Inventory: This should include but is not limited to the following: Hammer, Straight and Philips Screwdrivers (#2 and micro), Wire Cutters, Wire Strippers, RJ-11/45 Crimper, Coaxial Stripper, Coaxial Crimper, Utility Knife, Drywall Saw, Tape Measure, Torpedo Level, Headlamp, Soldering Iron, Stud Finder, Tone Generator, Multi-Meter, Data Tester, Tool Belt, 50ft extension cord, Cordless Drill/Impact, Sawzall, and Circular Saw.
