Product Manager

Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Product Manager to join the Home Systems Team in Middletown,PA. The individuall in this role will be responsible for complete management of the Nuvo Multi-Room Audio product line. The role includes activities that support product development, sales support & training, promotional activities, inventory and operations performance, long-term planning, and budget planning. The role may also include contributing to the annual corporate business review process.

Education:   

  • BS in Marketing, Business or related

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years experience in marketing or related field. 

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

  • Requires strong organizational and time management skills, close attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • The candidate must possess excellent project management skills, including demonstrated ability to develop and manage to a project plan, establish priorities, work to deadlines and control a number of projects at various stages of work.
  • The ideal candidate will possess strong computer skills, proficient with word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software, e-mail and meeting management software.  Ability to use internet and web based resources efficiently and effectively.
  • The candidate must have excellent verbal and written communications skills and be able to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization. Must be an effective listener, able to maintain focus, extract necessary information and validate understanding of the information.

  • Main Activities:

    • Main Interface: Internal – Engineering, marketing, sales finance, service and operations teams within entity and across other business units.  External – customers, contractors, distributors, suppliers and vendors.
    • Budget: Develops and manages budget for Nuvo products, and provides input to overall marketing budget.  Manages performance to the budget during fiscal year.

    Main Job Duties:

    • Product Development: field visits, meet with customers (distributors, installers, specifiers, end-users), initiate research with engineering & operations, etc.  to maintain a constant flow of new products and product enhancements.
    • Marketing & Sales Support: Prepare major launch collateral (sell sheets, instruction sheets, internal & external communications) at sales events (e.x. National Sales Conference, Trade Shows), support pricing strategy, initiate & respond to training & support on-going sustaining initiatives.
    • Operational performance: prepare and lead monthly S&OP meetings for designated product line, monitor & act on inventory levels, production capacity, service rates, and production costs to meet or beat corporate targets
    • Long-term planning: lead the long term vision for designated product line, ensuring sustainable revenue growth, market share and profitability; maintain high awareness and research of market trends and competitive activity.
    • Budget planning: monitor & review product line performance & trends to evaluate budget
    • Performs other similar and related duties as required.
