A/V Programmer

Core Competencies

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in designing and programming multi-zone audio, video, automation, lighting, network and security systems (Control4 system experience is preferred)
  • Proficient in low voltage systems including audio/video wiring and principles, video displays, proper cable routing, termination, and troubleshooting
  • Fundamental understanding of line voltage and its usage in low voltage systems
  • Ability to analyze problems and develop and implement complex, multi-device solutions
  • Self-motivated with a commitment to high quality work
  • Comfortable with working independently and within a team
  • Must have experience servicing and troubleshooting new and legacy equipment. 
  • Must be able to read a wiring diagram, blueprint and schematics 
  • Must have history of continuing education
  • Able to lift 50 pounds regularly 
  • Experience with residential networks including how to setup whole-house wired and wireless networks, streaming content, trouble-shooting networked components, etc.

 Responsibilities

  • Complete programming, configuration, documentation, and validation of all IP products
  • Create and maintain all records and programming associated with client-specific project data
  • D-Tools proficiency to create, edit, and update System Designs as needed
  • Document any project-specific programming to insure consistent and efficient processes
  • Label all configured devices with appropriate configuration settings, according to The Loop standards
  • Notify Project Manager of any assignments not completed as scheduled
  • Respond to field technical issues as needed
  • Manage day to day programming and field support issues as needed
  • Review the following week’s schedule and verify availability of product and verify applicable programming time is in calendar, notify Project Manager of any discrepancies
  • Provide feedback to Project Manager and GM on inefficiencies and recommend potential solutions
